He's like from a different era!
What the heck is (was) he doing controlling the national defense of the most powerful country on earth??
Sure, wisdom comes with age (or insanity if you please), and at 74 you might very well be smarter than two and a half 30 year olds put together..
..but 74 also means you grew up and learned to know the world when it was a little different from today.
He was both the youngest (in his first term) and oldest (in his second term) defence secretary in the United States.
